Longwood Run
The goal of Longwood Run is to fit the homes into the natural  environment rather than remove all the trees and re-plant. Located just off University Parkway at the northern end of Sarasota County near Lakewood Ranch, this community presents many different home choices.
In addition to  single-family homes, there are town homes, garden villas and patio homes. Most of the homes were built in the late 1980s to early 1990s. The average price is around $300,000 with some lower and a few higher. Across the street is Longwood Park, a popular place for walking or to take the kids.
With all the new development along I-75, all your shopping  needs are close at hand. At the other end of University is the Sarasota Airport and Ringling Museum, and University Parkway is lined with shopping centers along the route. From this northernmost Sarasota exit, it is an easy commute to Tampa as well.
 Longwood Run is a great location for families or young professionals who don’t want a golf course community or a waterfront home.
