Southwest Florida Annual Events
Most of the annual events in Southwest Florida take place from November through April since the weather is cooler and more visitors are here. Within an hour or two you can drive to any of the area fairs or festivals. Most activities are pleasant day trips that provide a little diversion from the ordinary.
Looking for a rodeo? Head to Arcadia, less than an hour away. Enjoy the fair? Florida State Fair is under two hours away in Tampa, and both Charlotte and Sarasota Counties have their own fairs. Are music festivals your favorite? Choose from CountryFest, Sarasota Blues Festival or Sarasota Jazz Festival. For a more upscale bash, attend the Sarasota Film Festival.
