San Remo Estates
The tiny area bordered by Siesta Drive and Bay Drive is the last stop before going over the north Siesta Key bridge. Most people drive right past this little enclave without noticing the ideal location of San Remo Estates.
Very rarely do properties appear on the market from this area. With only 69 homes, the turnover is negligible. Even though this section west of the Trail was built in the 1950s, it is still a sought after community. As with many of the older subdivisions, homes here have often been remodeled and updated to meet today’s discerning buyers.Prices range from $700,000 to over $2 million.
The waterfront homes are very close to the Siesta Drive bridge, and there are some boat slips. Just watching the boat traffic will keep you entertained for hours, and the fabulous sunsets are an artist’s dream.
Take the residential back road down Osprey Avenue past gracious old homes and spend the day in downtown Sarasota. There’s always something special happening in the exciting center of town.
If the beach is your destination, you merely have to cross the bridge to the world famous Siesta Key Beach, known for its beautiful white sand and wide beach.
Southgate Shopping Center is within walking distance, and Red Rock Park is across the street. No wonder no one wants to leave San Remo Estates!
