The city of Sarasota, Florida rivals West Palm Beach and Naples as a destination for those who love the arts, culturemuseums and the finer things in life. The area includes the stunning Sarasota Bay and numerous barrier islands – Lido and Bird Key, Siesta Key and Longboat Key – all on the Gulf of Mexico. Sarasota, Florida is home to the Sarasota Opera and Youth Opera, The annual Sarasota Film Festival held in April of each year, the annual Sarasota Blues Festival in November, the Sarasota Ballet with its new artistic director, the tropical adventure of Sarasota Jungle Gardens, and the Marie Selby Botanical Gardens. Spend an evening at the historic Asolo Theater and wander the gardens and grounds of its 66 perched on Sarasota Bay. Stand before the stunning works of Rubens, Veronese and El Greco at the Museum of Art, spread a blanket under the sun on the delicious beaches of Longboat Key or Nokomis beach on Casey Key. Spend an afternoon on one of Sarasota’s deep green fairways, working on your golf game.

Residential communities in Sarasota include Bayfront, Bird Key and Lido Key, Bayou Oaks, Alta Vista, Belleveue Terrace, Central Cocoanut, Avondale,  St. Armands Circle, and many other lovely neighborhoods. The city of Sarasota is home to prosperous singles, families and active seniors, and there are many choice homes in the area.

New condominiums have risen above the city, and bayfront neighborhoods like Harbor Acres and Cherokee Park feature prestigious, upscale homes that rival the best in Florida.
