Shore Oaks

Shore Oaks is another gated, walled, deed restricted community in Laurel. Large executive homes have been constructed from 1996 to the present.

Discover the tranquil enclave on the west side of US 41 but still off Laurel Road, making it convenient to I-75 and practically on top of Nokomis Beach. Restaurants, shopping, banks and the post office are all within walking distance. Even the beach is a short bike ride away.

Here you have the advantage of a small town, but the proximity to the larger cities of Sarasota and Venice within a short drive.

Those in Shore Oaks who have canal property are able to boat out to the Gulf of Mexico by passing under two bridges to Intracoastal Waterway. The bridges have a 9 ft clearance at high tide so most medium-sized motorboats will have no problem getting through.

Many other three and four-bedroom executive homes enjoy a lake view, and nearly all have pools.

Average home sizes range from 2,000-3,000 sq. feet and are priced around the $500,000 mark unless you are on a canal with Gulf access. Then the price goes up. A Mediterranean look with tiled roofs and tropical colors is the norm in Shore Oaks.

For the water enthusiast, you can have the beach close by, a pool and a lake view all at the same time in Shore Oaks.
