The Polo Club
Sophistication, tranquility and friendly competition are the first three things that come to mind when one thinks about The Sarasota Polo Club, part of the massive Lakewood Ranch development in Sarasota, Florida.
The Sarasota Polo Club isn’t just a fancy name; community members actively participate in the sport, and enthusiasts and observers are encouraged to come and watch the game while enjoying other activities. Regardless of your amount of knowledge about the game of Polo, you will enjoy watching the game. Polo involves players on horseback, using a mallet to knock a ball around the field. Polo is an exciting sport to watch because the success of a team depends on not only the player, but also on the abilities and training of the horse.
The Polo Club consists of 9 polo fields and a regulation sized arena. On-site facilities include a gift shop, covered open-air pavilion, veterinary clinic, member’s clubhouse and three 24-stall barns.
There are less than 50 private ranches ranging in size from 5 to 30 acres, which makes for a very private and peaceful community. All of the homes are custom-built, ranging in size from 3,000 square feet to well over 10,000 square feet.

The homes all have subtle architectural features that fill the community with elegance and class. Some of the homes are classic farm houses with prestigious columns and a tall roofline, others have more of a Tuscan flare or Mediterranean influence.
All of the home sites are situated on acreage, most of which include stables and/or barns for the family’s horses. A complete equestrian community at heart, The Polo Club has all that an equestrian family needs. There are typically over 600 horses kept at The Polo Club, whether it is on personal property or at the club itself. If you’re looking for an elegant equestrian lifestyle, The Polo Club in Sarasota, Florida is the place to be. |
