Willowbend
Willowbend is one of Osprey’s deed restricted communities just ten miles south of Sarasota and six miles north of Venice, Willowbend is only moments away from the best beaches in the area, and within an easy drive of the Ringling Museum of Art, the arts district of Sarasota, and Selby Botanical Gardens. Osprey was once a small fishing village and is now home to many Sarasota County’s wealthiest residents. Just around the bend from Oscar Scherer State Park and the historic Spanish Point, Willowbend has plenty to offer.
The Willowbend community was designed and built by prestigious Lee Wetherington Homes and is the first Florida Yards and Neighborhoods community that complies with Florida Power and Light's Build Smart requirements that conserve water and energy. Here you will find beautifully landscaped, well-maintained homes, a lovely heated community pool, a basketball court, and a recreation area and playground for the kids. This family-friendly community is close to good schools and all the amenities and services you could want. Many families move here just to be close to Pine View School for the gifted just down the road. Families, singles and active adults live in harmony in Willowbend and enjoy maintenance-free living in a deed restricted community that covers nearly 130 acres.
Homes in Willowbend were built between 2002 and 2005 and the community has a mandatory homeowner association that funds pest control, lawn sprinklers, maintenance, lawn care, maintenance of the community center, all public buildings and the park area. Residents also enjoy high speed internet service and cable TV services, underground utilities, public sewer and water, sidewalks and streetlights. Many homes have a view of Oscar Scherer State Park.
